The Travel & Adventure Show, formerly Adventure in Travel Expo, bills themselves as the show for real travelers. They may be right, I’ve been to other travel conventions and they often feel a little stuffy, overpopulated by cruise lines and 5 star hotels. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, I actually like cruising, but as for me, adventure travel is more my cup of Peruvian maté. I’m more interested in the nitty gritty style of moving around the world. If you are as well and happen to be in the New York or Dallas areas, stop by.
The Travel & Adventure Show is a roadshow affair with six stops around the country, and it’s coming to the New York metro area October 16 – 17. If you’re there, check out the latest in adventure travel gear, activities and destinations. The show moves on to Dallas October 23 – 24.
Among other speakers, Arthur Frommer will be there along with Patricia Schultz of 1000 Places to See Before You Die fame. You can even test out scuba gear and take a spin down an in-house zip-line. Ah yes. That’s what adventure is all about, right there.
