Going to the World Cup? Better start getting your tickets!

One of the world's greatest sporting events will be held at various locations in South Africa next year. The FIFA World Cup will be taking place between June 11th and July 11th of 2010 and is arguably the largest travel draw anywhere.

But you've made up your mind. No matter the distance between you and South Africa, you're still dedicated to seeing some world-class fútbol action, as you should be. And you're not alone. South African Tourist bureau is predicting over 3 million soccer fans will be arriving in South Africa on or around the contest dates. What this means to you is that it will be extremely tough to arrive with them. Given the country's remote location and relatively limited number of transportation options to get there, it will be difficult to secure confirmed seats on flights into and out of the country.

AirTreks wants to help make sure you get there when you need to by stressing the importance of booking your flights to Johannesburg (or Cape Town, Pretoria, Durban or Port Elizabeth or wherever you're seeing matches) as soon as possible. It's highly advisable to book your tickets now to get seats on what is already showing to be a tough period for availability. We are seeing a limited capacity for travel dates over the course of the month long event. Book soon to avoid disappointment.

Or else, why not make South Africa a stop on an around the world or multi-destination trip? You can see how much that crazy adventure would cost using Trip Planner! Have fun, play soccer!
