Wat Arun, “Temple of the Dawn”, Bangkok The Khmer-era Buddhist temple located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok celebrated its 200 birthday last year. The temple’s more-than-a-mouthful complete name is Wat Arunratchawararam Ratchaworamahawihan. It can be climbed by purchasing a 20 baht ticket (about $0.60). Read more about its history here.
