]]> You’ve probably never heard of the town of Mestia, Georgia, situated in the Caucasus Mountains of central Asia. But their town is now on the map after Berlin-based architecture firm Jurgen Mayer H got their hands on it. They’ve put together an adorable piece of modern architecture in the middle of nowhere! Evidently the terminal took only three months to build and was created in effort to drive tourism into the area, which is known for mountaineering and its Unesco World Heritage status – there are a series of medieval forts and defensive towers in and around the town.

Mestia lies on the border of Russia and is only 120 miles away from Sochi, the site of the 2014 Winter Olympics. It’s also equidistant from T’blisi, Georgia’s capital and home to some famous sulfur baths.

If you need something else to get you to Georgia, how about teaching English? They have a fantastic program there and are currently hiring prodigiously.
