Emirates, the Middle East’s largest airline, announced plans last week to further dominate the world map by adding Seattle, Washington to their destination list. The daily flights will commence March 1st, 2012.
Emirates already flies to two other west-coast destinations, Los Angeles and San Francisco, and will use the same equipment to do so, the Boeing 777. Emirates is already the largest operator of the triple-7 in the world, which, after acquiring their newest order of 30 jets, will bring their 777 fleet up to an amazing 132 airplanes.
The non-stop flights between Sea-Tac and Dubai International will take the polar route and last roughly 15 hours, slightly shorter in the west to east direction, offering the Pacific Northwest the multitude of destination points around the world that Emirates serves, including cities throughout Africa, India, Asia and Australia.
AirTreks will be able to use the SEA-DXB flights in your RTW itinerary beginning on its inauguration day, so feel free to incorporate this into your plan. Feel free to ask your travel consultant for more details.
